PROCESS & OPERATING PHILOSOPHY
Technology screening, configuration, preliminary balances, plot needs, utilities and cost/schedule basis. The operating sequence, recycle paths, start-up/shutdown cases and normal/turndown behavior are defined before equipment finalization.
MAIN EQUIPMENT & PACKAGE LIMITS
Studies, process simulations, preliminary equipment list and layout inputs. Materials, design margins, maintainability, isolation, access, lifting and spare philosophy are coordinated with the approved operating cases.
CRITICAL DESIGN INPUTS
Approved project objectives, feed/site data, product targets, battery limits, client standards, execution schedule, local regulations and interfaces.
ENGINEERING DELIVERABLES
Design Basis, H&MB, PFDs, preliminary datasheets, CAPEX class estimate and execution plan. The package also includes line/equipment lists, relief and utility summaries, layouts or 3D interfaces, vendor-document requirements, inspection plans and commissioning inputs as applicable.
AUTOMATION, SAFETY & HSE
Design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP/SIL coordination, model reviews, document control, change management, quality surveillance and completion assurance.
APPLICATIONS & PERFORMANCE BASIS
New projects, revamps, debottlenecking and investment decisions. Capacity, product quality, consumption and emissions commitments are confirmed only after the representative feed and project Design Basis are approved.
CODES, STANDARDS & QUALITY BASIS
AACE estimate practices and applicable process standards. The contractual code basis is selected by destination and client specification. ASME/API/TEMA, EN/DIN and GOST/EAC requirements are not mixed without an approved code-equivalency and authority review.
