ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION & AUTOMATION

Flow Instrumentation

Measures and controls liquid, gas, steam and multiphase-compatible services for process control, balance and metering.

Flow Instrumentation

FUNCTION & CONTROL METHOD

Coriolis, ultrasonic, vortex, magnetic, turbine, positive-displacement or differential-pressure technology is selected by fluid, conductivity, viscosity, range, pressure loss and accuracy.

MAIN HARDWARE & SYSTEM BOUNDARY

Flowmeters, primary elements, meter runs, flow computers, pressure/temperature compensation, straightening devices, samplers and isolation/bypass arrangements.

CRITICAL DESIGN INPUTS

Approved P&IDs and control philosophy, process ranges and alarm/trip limits, hazardous-area classification, environmental conditions, I/O and load lists, availability/redundancy target, package interfaces, communication protocols, cybersecurity and client standards.

ENGINEERING DELIVERABLES

System architecture, instrument/equipment index, datasheets, I/O list, hook-ups, loop and wiring diagrams, cabinet/panel drawings, cable schedule, network drawings, control narratives, cause-and-effect, logic diagrams, graphics, test procedures and as-built backups.

FUNCTIONAL SAFETY, RELIABILITY & CYBERSECURITY

Meter diagnostics, grounding, empty-pipe or low-flow alarms, legal-metrology sealing where applicable and independent shutdown flow signals are defined.

TESTING, COMMISSIONING & APPLICATIONS

Feed/product flow, steam, fuel gas, cooling water, chemicals, loading and custody transfer. Wet calibration or traceable verification is specified.

CODES, STANDARDS & QUALITY BASIS

API MPMS, OIML, ISO 5167 where applicable, IEC/ISA and contractual EN/DIN/GOST metrology standards.

CONTRACTUAL CODE BASIS

API MPMS, OIML, ISO 5167 where applicable, IEC/ISA and contractual EN/DIN/GOST metrology standards.
